CORTLAND – A 35-year-old Roselle man charged with child pornography is accused of videotaping an underage girl while she exited a bathroom, court records show.

Brian J. Kruger, of the 100 block of West Arthur Avenue, was in court Monday facing two counts each of possessing, reproducing and manufacturing child pornography. Kruger allegedly videotaped the girl while he was living with her in Cortland, said Gary Dumdie, DeKalb County Sheriff’s chief deputy.

Kruger possessed a pornographic video of the minor, who was younger than age 18, on Dec. 12 and Jan. 28 with the intent to disseminate the video, court records show.

Police don’t believe there are more victims, Dumdie said, but they are looking into whether there is anything else incriminating on Kruger’s computer, which was seized as evidence.

Kruger has a medical condition which requires him to receive oxygen, Dumdie said.

If convicted of the more serious charge, Kruger would face between six and 30 years in prison. He remained in jail Monday unable to post 10 percent of his $250,000 bond. Kruger is next due in court March 12.
