CORTLAND – A 35-year-old Roselle man was in jail Sunday held on $250,000 bond for allegations that he videotaped a Cortland minor while he was living with her.

Brian J. Kruger, of the 100 block of W. Arthur Ave., was charged with two counts of possessing, two counts of reproducing and two counts of manufacturing child pornography.

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services contacted police about Kruger, who was living with the minor at the time of the incident but moved to Roselle for the well-being of the child, said Gary Dumdie, DeKalb County Sheriff’s chief deputy.

The incident dates back from October 2013 to February 2014 and took place on the 100 block of West Meadow Avenue in Cortland, according to a DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office news release.

If convicted of the more serious charge, Kruger would face between six and 30 years in prison. He is next due in court today.
