Welcome Café Brunch open to all

Published: Friday, Feb. 21, 2014 5:30 a.m. CDT

The Welcome Café & Community Kitchen will host a community meal at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of DeKalb, 158 N. Fourth St., DeKalb, from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Chef Terri Mann-Lamb, owner of Sunn Flower Gourmet & Catering will sponsor and prepare the meal. The menu will include farm fresh local egg casserole and French toast bake, featuring bread from Monika’s Organic Bakery.

The meal is pay-what-you-can and all are welcome.

Sunn Flower Gourmet & Catering also will donate a percentage of profits from its annual Spring/Easter Cookie Sale. For more information, call Mann-Lamb at 815-761-4545 or find the Facebook page.

The Heartland Bloodmobile will be at the church from 9 a.m. to noon taking blood donations. The winter weather has cut down on donations, so the Heartland Blood Bank needs help with meeting the present demands.

For more information, call 815-793-0950 or find Welcome Café on Facebook.
