SCOUTING THE Broncos: Western Michigan's win total includes a victory over MAC West leader Toledo in the Broncos' conference opener.

The Broncos have a go-to scoring threat in senior guard David Brown, a native of Roscoe and a Hononegah High School graduate. He leads the MAC with an average of 18.5 points per game.

Senior center Shayne Whittington averages 14.8 points and 8.6 rebounds.

OUTLOOK: The Huskies have won three games in a row for the first time since the 2009-10 season, and are in a two-way tie with Eastern Michigan for third place in the MAC West. With 10 wins, NIU has reached its win total from the past two seasons combined.

In Tuesday night's win over Miami (Ohio), the Huskies came back from a halftime deficit and closed the game on a 25-4 run.

Sophomore point guard Travon Baker continued his strong play, scoring 10 points.
