GENOA – The Genoa Community Women’s Club will award several college scholarships to graduating seniors from the Genoa-Kingston High School class of 2014. Application forms are available at the high school guidance office and completed forms are due by April 1.

Winners will be selected based on financial need, involvement in the community through volunteer work and service projects, and academic records. Applicants must attend any institution of higher learning beginning fall 2014. The award may only be used to defray the costs of tuition, room and board, textbooks, and extra class fees. All monies will be sent directly to the school of the students’ choice.

Presentation of the scholarships will be at Senior Night May 14. Over the past six years, a total of $22,000 has been awarded to 19 students. The club has awarded scholarships for 51 years.

Wonderful World of Christmas Craft Show is held each November to benefit the scholarship fund.

The Genoa Community Women’s Club is a women’s service organization which addresses community needs. Meetings are held at 7 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Resource Bank in Genoa. All women from Genoa, Kingston and surrounding towns are invited to attend. For more information contact Nancy at 815-761-0515.
