PREP ROUNDUP: Kaneland girls bowling falls to Lisle

The Kaneland girls bowling team lost to Lisle, 2,226-2,191. The Knights had games of 729, 700 and 762.

Dominique Lee led Kaneland with a three-game score of 498. Christie Crews had a 474 while Katie Hill finished with a 455.

Three Barbs earn sectional spots: The DeKalb-Sycamore co-op gymnastics team had three individuals advance to next week’s sectional as the Barbs finished second at the Wheaton-Warrenville South Regional. DeKalb had a score of 138.750 and finished behind the hosts.

Barbs senior Meredith Whisenhunt advanced in all five competitions - the balance beam, vault, floor exercise, uneven parrallel bars and all-around competition, while junior Alison Morreale advanced in the balance beam, vault, unven parrallel bars and all-around. Freshman Katelyn Nelson advanced in the floor excersise and vault.

DeKalb-Sycamore’s three individuals will compete at Tuesday’s Wheaton-Warrenville South Sectional.
