DeKalb County seeks election judges

SYCAMORE – DeKalb County Clerk Doug Johnson is looking for people to serve as election judges for the March 18 primary election and the Nov. 4 general election. Training days are scheduled for 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. March 3 and 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. March 4.

Election judges must be U.S. citizens who are eligible to vote in the next election; be residents of and registered to vote in DeKalb County; be of good repute and character; be able to speak, read and write English; be skilled in the four fundamental rules of math and understand and be capable of performing their duties. They cannot be a candidate for any office and or a precinct committeeman.

State-required training must be completed. The base pay is $90, plus an additional $40 for completing training every two years.
