Winter carnival coming to Sandwich High

Published: Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 5:30 a.m. CDT

Do you remember the Junior Carnival at Sandwich High School in the 1970s and 1980s? It was just good old fashioned family fun. The Sandwich Schools Music Association will bring the event back from noon until 4 p.m. Feb. 22 in the Sandwich High School South Gym.

This event will have a Dr. Seuss theme and feature the ducks game, a bounce house, face painting, scooter races, a haunted hallway, cupcake walk, photo booth and a graffiti wall.

Admission costs $6 for ages 5 and younger, and $7 for those older than 5, and includes all games for the entire day. Concessions will be available for purchase.

The first 100 children at the carnival will receive a special door prize.

This fundraiser benefits the Sandwich Schools Music Association to help offset the cost of the school’s upcoming musical, “Suessical,” as well as future band and choir events.
