IVVC names January Students of the Month

Indian Valley Vocational Center of Sandwich, recently announced its January 2014 list of Students of the Month. 

This recognition program spotlights students from its 13 onsite programs, and cosmetology and fire science, selected by the program instructors for qualities such as outstanding professional work, enthusiasm, attendance, initiative and demonstrated work ethic. Each IVVC program can select a different student each month for special recognition and an award certificate. 

The January 2014 IVVC Students of the Month are:

Auto Body Repair – Ruben Vazquez, Sandwich High School; Automotive Technology – Jakob West, Sandwich High School; Computer Technology – Benjamin Hanson, Sandwich High School; Construction Technology – Javon Montgomery, Plano High School; Cosmetology – Alexis Berger, Yorkville High School; Culinary Arts – Erika Ziupsnys, Somonauk High School; Drafting & Design – Savannah Phillips, Indian Creek High School; Early Childhood Development – Tabitha Blue, Sandwich High School; Fire Science – Zachary Aloisio, Yorkville High School; Graphic Communications – Jessica Cinfio, Somonauk High School; Health Occupations, CNA – Mycaleen Ravnikar, Sandwich High School; Health Occupations, Exploring Medical Careers – Megan Hilt, Yorkville High School; Law Enforcement – Jessica Perry, Sandwich High School; Sports Medicine/Management – Mitchell Boyd, Sandwich High School; and Welding & Fabrication – Jeremy Grubar, Yorkville High School.

IVVC is owned and operated by 11 school districts: Earlville District 9, Hinckley-Big Rock District 429, Indian Creek District 425, Leland District 1, Newark District 18, Paw Paw District 271, Plano District 88, Sandwich District 430, Serena District 2, Somonauk District 432 and Yorkville District 115.
