Child Initiative International will host its annual Dinner and Movie event at 5:30 p.m. March 29 at Bethel Assemblies of God Church, 131 W. Elm St., Sycamore.

The event will include an all-American breakfast meal served by a group of volunteers. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet with leaders of CII, learn about its mission and how to become involved in its efforts to assist children. Display tables will be set up that further describe CII’s efforts around northern Illinois, as well as the world.

After the dinner, there will be a presentation about CII’s mission trip last summer.

Tickets cost $15 per person and are available only in advance. Visit www.ciintl.org to purchase tickets.

CII is a nonprofit, faith-based public charity in Belvidere that is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of children. The organization helps children in northern Illinois and as far away as Grand Prairie, Texas. Internationally, CII helps children at several locations in Uganda with its own schools and orphanages run by leaders in the local community.

CII takes a holistic approach in its mission by gathering local volunteers with an understanding of the community to assist children. Kids are able to receive education, food, shelter, and necessary medical treatment.
