SYCAMORE – Youth Engaged in Philanthropy is accepting grant applications for the 2014 grant season. YEP grants exist to improve the quality of life for youth in DeKalb County.

Youth Engaged in Philanthropy is a youth-led committee of the DeKalb County Community Foundation that provides opportunities for young people from around the county to become engaged in their communities, learn about philanthropy and develop leadership skills.

Eligible projects will be youth-led initiatives that directly involve local youth in their development and implementation. Applicants may request a maximum of $2,500 and are required to present their proposal to the YEP committee through a site visit or presentation.

Nonprofits with youth initiatives in DeKalb County are encouraged to apply.

Grant applications will be accepted online through Feb. 1. No hard copy applications will be accepted. Visit dekalbccf.org to apply.

For more information or to inquire about an application, contact Becky Zantout, grants and community initiatives manager, at 815-748-5383 or becky@dekalbccf.org and visit www.dekalbccf.org.
