Published: Monday, Jan. 20, 2014 5:30 a.m. CDT

SANDWICH – Sandwich High School’s Post Prom Committee seeks dresses to sell at its eighth annual prom and special occasion dress sale later this month at the Best Western Plus Timber Creek Inn & Suites. The sale includes gently-used prom, homecoming and graduation dresses.

Consignments will be accepted from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday and 5 to 8 p.m. Jan. 27 though 29. All items must be in good, recently-cleaned condition. All should have been worn to an event within the past four years. The group has the right to refuse any items.

Sellers pay a $5 per dress nonrefundable handling fee when dropping off items. Each seller sets the price. Seventy percent of the selling prices goes to the seller and the committee keeps 30 percent.

The sale dates are Jan. 30 through Feb. 2. Dresses that do not sell may be picked up after the sale or donated to girls who may not be able to afford a new dress.

Proceeds from the sale insure a safe post prom. For more information, call Jennifer Johnson at 815-712-0163.
