Former NIU men's hoops coach takes position at Indiana

Former Northern Illinois men's basketball coach Rob Judson was named the director of men's basketball operations at Indiana on Saturday.

Judson, 56, was 74-101 in six seasons as the head coach with the Huskies. His best season came in the 2005 to 2006 season when the Huskies went 17-11 and won the Mid-American Conference West Division by finishing 12-6 in MAC games. Judson was previously an assistant coach with the Huskies from 1989 to 1991.

"It is exciting to have the opportunity to be a part of the Indiana University men's basketball program," Judson said in a news release. "I'm honored and humbled to be working with Coach [Tom] Crean and his outstanding staff and am excited to begin right away."

Judson's last stop coaching job was a an Illinois State assistant for the past six seasons.
