The Performing Arts Academy is now registering students for Semester II, which begins Jan. 27. The dance school invites interested children to try a class for free the week of Jan. 20 through 25. Classes offered are: Storybook Ballet, Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary, Lyrical, Ballet/Tap Combo, Jazz, Hip Hop Jazz, Aerial and Tumbling.

The dance school is dedicated to providing an age appropriate approach to music, movement and costuming. The school strives to educate and develop dancers with a pre-professional background in dance. Classes are available for children ages 3 and older.

In addition to dance classes the academy offers Pilates and Aerial in private, semi-private and group sessions to adults. Pilates is a system of exercises using special apparatus to strengthen, lengthen and improve posture while enhancing mental awareness. Aerial silk classes improve strength and balance while creating beautiful poses.

The school has locations in Sycamore and Rochelle.
