NIU wrestling falls at Ohio

Published: Friday, Jan. 10, 2014 8:56 p.m. CDT

Caleb Busson (184 pounds) won by fall and 197-pounder Shawn Scott won by decision for the Northern Illinois wrestling team in a 33-9 loss at Ohio.

The Huskies (4-6, 0-3 MAC) trailed by nine with three matches left before a pair of pins helped the Bobcats (5-1, 1-1 MAC) get the victory.

“We were hesitant tonight and that will catch up with you,” NIU head coach Ryan Ludwig said in a news release. “We need to do a better job engaging our opponent and moving toward an attack to establish control of the match. We will learn from it and make progress.”
