Northern Illinois (6-7, 0-1 Mid-American Conference) at Bowling Green (6-8, 0-1 MAC)

WHEN: 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Stroh Center, Bowling Green, Ohio

RADIO: AM-1360 WLBK, FM 98.9

LAST MEETING: Bowling Green defeated NIU, 57-41, on Feb. 6, 2013

SCOUTING THE FALCONS: Bowling Green sits at two games under .500, but the Falcons played a rugged nonconference schedule that included Wisconsin, Xavier and Saint Louis. The Falcons also lost to Eastern Michigan, 56-51, in their MAC opener.

Junior forward Richaun Holmes, a Lockport High School product, leads the Falcons in scoring at 14.4 points per game. Sophomore forward Spencer Parker averages 12.8 points.

OUTLOOK: After starting the season 6-6 in nonconference play, the Huskies got off to a bad start in the MAC on Wednesday. NIU trailed Buffalo, 16-0, to start the game before eventually losing, 67-46. NIU’s flight to Buffalo was cancelled and the team was forced to drive. The tip-off was pushed back two hours because of the bad weather earlier this week.

Sophomore Darrell Bowie led the Huskies with 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting, but he was the only NIU player in double figures.

The Huskies open conference play with four crossover games before visiting Toledo on Jan. 22.
