Char Lupton, relationship banker with NB&T, will retire Friday after 47 years of service.

Lupton started her career in the bookkeeping department. She was there for seven years before moving to the proof department, where she was a proof operator for 17 years. Next, Lupton served NB&T on the teller line as both a trainer and supervisor for 10 years. In 2000, she took on the role of relationship banker at the newly constructed DeKalb Market Square branch, where she has helped thousands of personal and business clients over the past 10 years.

An open house will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the NB&T DeKalb Market Square branch, 2290 Sycamore Road in DeKalb.
