MALTA – The boil order in Malta has been lifted.

The order had been in effect since Tuesday afternoon after a water main break on Kelsey Street, and was the first boil order issued in more than four years, said Vince McCabe, Malta president.

Municipalities are required by the Environmental Protection Agency to issue an order if water pressure falls below 20 pounds per square inch.
