ROCK FALLS – Police said two people are dead and two injured in a shooting outside a western Illinois bar.

Sauk Valley Media reported that the shooting occurred shortly after 12:30 a.m. Saturday outside of Lamb’s Tap.

Police said a 34-year-old Rock Falls man was found dead on the sidewalk in front of the bar, and had been shot multiple times. Two other men also were shot and taken to area hospitals.

Police said they later saw the suspect walking across a bridge into Sterling and chased him to his home. They said the 40-year-old suspect apparently shot and killed himself inside his garage.

Authorities did not immediately release any names pending further investigation.
