Scott Gayden discusses his catering services with potential customers during the 2012 Northern Illinois Bridal Expo at the Holmes Student Center. This year's event is Sunday.

Northern Illinois University will host its 9th annual Wedding Expo from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Holmes Student Center Duke Ellington Ballroom, 340 Carroll Ave., DeKalb. The theme this year is “Midnight, Stardust & Diamonds.”

The show will feature more than 55 exhibitors, and there will be a professional fashion show at 2 p.m. showcasing all of the latest trends.

The Wedding Expo is a one-stop shopping experience where brides-to-be and their entire bridal party can walk along aisles of the area’s best wedding products and services in one convenient location.

Experts, owners and managers from the area’s top wedding merchants will be on hand to answer important planning questions. Participating vendors create lavish exhibit displays showcasing their products so visitors can easily see everything they have to offer. Vendors will include caterers, florists, photographers, DJs, wedding attire including bridal shops and many more.

Admission is free and includes free taste-testing from Holmes Student Center’s catering department. Parking is available in the visitor’s lot just south of the Student Center on Carroll Avenue or in the Campus Life parking lot.
