KishHealth System provides community wellness programs

Blood Pressure Clinic – DeKalb

A KishHealth System health professional monitors blood pressure weekly. Each participant receives blood pressure information and a tracking card. Free. No appointment necessary. Every Monday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Kishwaukee Hospital, DeKalb.

Blood Pressure Clinic – Genoa

A KishHealth System health professional monitors blood pressure weekly. Each participant receives blood pressure information and a tracking card. Free. No appointment necessary. Every Wednesday, 9 to 11 a.m., at KishHealth System Physician Group, 599 Pearson Drive, Genoa.  

Blood Pressure Clinic – Sandwich  

A KishHealth System health professional monitors blood pressure weekly. Each participant receives blood pressure information and a tracking card. Free. No appointment necessary. Every Wednesday, 9 to 11 a.m., at Valley West Hospital, Sandwich.  

Bridge of Hope

This six-session bereavement support group is for adults who have experienced the recent death of someone special. Education is offered related to the grief journey and understanding and compassionate support from others who walk a similar path. Bridge of Hope meets from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Mondays beginning Jan. 20 at KishHealth System Hospice, DeKalb. Call KishHealth System Hospice at 815-756-3000 for more information or to register.

Moms Breastfeeding Group

Mothers and babies are welcome to attend this breastfeeding group to discuss the joys and challenges of breastfeeding. Drop in with your baby to meet other breastfeeding moms and receive support and encouragement. Moms Breastfeeding Group meets from 10 to 11:30 a.m. the second and fourth Thursday of each month at the Kish Hospital Roberts Conference Center, DeKalb. Free. No registration required.
