Workshop to focus on profiting from small acres

MALTA – A workshop called “Putting Small Acres to Work” will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Jan. 18 at the Kishwaukee College Conference Center, 21193 Malta Road, Malta.

Participants may attend two general sessions and choose one breakout session to help develop new ideas to profit from small acres, according to a University of Illinois Extension news release.

The sessions include “Year-Round Growing,” “Organic Vegetable Production,” a sheep and goat production breakout session and a soil management breakout session.
