Snow arrives, wind chill advisory in effect

The National Weather Service reported that DeKalb received 2.4 inches of snow this morning, and a wind chill advisory is in effect from 3 p.m. today until 5 a.m. Thursday.

Temperatures will fall into the single digits this afternoon and go below zero this evening. Moderate northwest winds will result in wind chills of 10 to 20 below zero this afternoon and 15 to 30 below zero tonight.

If you must be outdoors, make sure to wear a hat and gloves and limit your exposure as much as possible.
