Twin Tavern to hold food, coat drive

Published: Monday, Dec. 9, 2013 5:30 a.m. CDT

DeKALB – Twin Tavern will hold a food drive Saturday.

Residents are encouraged to bring canned goods, nonperishable food and gently-used coats to the food drive at 1028 S. Fourth St., DeKalb. The drive starts at 9 a.m. and lasts all day, said Sharen Petros-Szula, with Twin Tavern.

The food will go to The Salvation Army.

Twin Tavern, a locally-owned business, has been holding food drives for four years. Petros-Szula said the drive is done in the honor of the original owner, Peter Petros, who died several years ago.

For information, call Sharen Petros-Szula at 815-263-5580.
