Prep roundup: Sycamore girls bowling earns first win

Sycamore girls bowling won its first match of the season with a 2,870-2,693 win over Rochelle. The Spartans won all three games and the overall series against their Northern Illinois Big 12 East rival at Four Seasons Sports.

Freshman Alexis Kolberg shot a 578 series to lead the Spartans, including games of 203 and 204. Morgan Jones rolled a 486 series, including a high game of 192. Baylee Ricker (166 game) and sophomore Kelsey Johnston (170 game) also contributed in the scoring for the host Spartans.

“I was proud of how focused we appeared to be today,” Sycamore coach Andy Hampton said.

Lisle edges Kaneland: Kaneland fell to Lisle at home, 1,993-1,927, in a nonconference dual match.

Christie Crews led the Knights with a 427 series, including a 153 high game. Katie Hill bowled a 149 game and Dominque Lee recorded a 393 series, including a 141 high game, for the Knights in the loss.
