Jimmie Ward invited to Senior Bowl

Northern Illinois safety Jimmie Ward has been invited to the Senior Bowl in his hometown of Mobile, Ala., where he'll be able to show off his abilities in front of plenty of NFL scouts. The game takes place on Jan. 25.

Ward becomes the sixth Huskie to be invited to the game, joining LeShon Johnson (1994), Ryan Diem (2001), Michael Turner (2004), Garrett Wolfe (2007) and Larry English (2009).

Ward currently has a team-high 77 tackles and six interceptions, which ranks first in the MAC and fifth in the country.
