Band FUE to play in Sycamore

DeKalb-based indie band FUE (pronounced “few”) will playing an acoustic Christmas show at Christian Connections as part of downtown Sycamore’s Winter Chocolate Walk to be held from 5 to p.m. today.

The band will play songs from their recently released Christmas EP, titled “Winter’s Eve.” Depending upon the weather, FUE will play both inside Christian Connections as well as go caroling along State Street.

“We are really excited to be part of this year’s Winter Chocolate Walk,” FUE leadsinger/keyboardist Joanna Rutzky, said in a news release. “Shari from Christian Connections has been so supportive of FUE and our music. It will be nice to have the opportunity to repay her support. Plus it is always fun to share our Christmas music with people.”

FUE’s “Winter’s Eve” project was released Nov. 12 as a physical CD and in digital format. One of the songs from the project, “Merry Memories,” is in a national radio promotion and has been added to the holiday playlists of dozens of radio stations throughout the U.S. and around the world.
