The Kishwaukee College Computer-Assisted Design Technology Program has been accepted in the Joint Institute of Engineering and Technology -Aerospace program in Rockford.

JiET-A is a program that connects the Rockford area aerospace industry with educational institutions that offer technology-based degree programs to create meaningful internship opportunities for students. Kishwaukee College joins Embry-Riddle University, Northern Illinois University, Rockford University and Rock Valley College as members of JiET-A.

The program was created to increase local students’ access to the region’s growing aerospace industry to allow students to gain valuable experience, network with industry professionals, integrate their academic courses with an internship, and have increased access to scholarship opportunities.

The CAD program at Kish College prepares students in the areas of architectural and mechanical design and drafting using state-of-the-art design software. The program offers both two-year degrees and certificates. For more information on the program, contact Mark Schwendau at 815-825-2086, ext. 3480, or mark.schwendau@kishwaukeecollege.edu.
