Kaneland at Sycamore

7 p.m., Dec. 6

The Northern Illinois Big 12 East gets kicked off the right way as the two conference favorites battle it out.

Indian Creek at Genoa-Kingston 7:15 p.m., Dec. 12

A very competitive nonconference game between two local schools, G-K and Indian Creek, both should get some value out of playing each other.

DeKalb hosts Chuck Dayton Tournament, Dec. 21-27

We always learn a lot about the Barbs in their annual holiday tournament. This season DeKalb will host Schurz, Marmion and Belvidere in pool play during the first two days.

Indian Creek at Newark 6:45 p.m., Jan. 31

These two teams played a thriller in the Little Ten tournament last season. Indian Creek will want to continue its success against the Norsemen.

DeKalb vs. Sycamore at Northern Illinois University, 8 p.m., Jan. 31

It will be the largest attendance for any basketball game played at the Convocation Center this season. The boys and girls doubleheader is always a fun environment.

Little Ten Tournament

Feb. 3 through 7 at Somonauk

One of the greatest local high school traditions, the Little Ten tournament will once again give Hiawatha, Hinckley-Big Rock and Indian Creek a playoff atmosphere as the regular season draws to a close.
