Jonathan Park, 23, of the 5000 block of North Kedzie Avenue in Chicago, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography.

DeKALB – A 23-year-old Chicago man was released from jail Wednesday on probation after pleading guilty to having child pornography.

Jonathan Park, of the 5000 block of North Kedzie Avenue, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography in exchange for prosecutors dropping nine similar charges, some of which carried stiffer potential penalties. He was sentenced to four years of probation.

Park admitted to having a video of a girl he should have known was younger than 18, but prosecutors dropped counts alleging he had videos and photographs of girls younger than 13, court records show.

DeKalb police arrested Park on June 27 when he was a student at Northern Illinois University, court records show. He remained in jail while the case was pending unable to post 10 percent of his $1 million bond.

As a condition to the plea agreement, Park will have no computer or Internet access. While on probation, he's not allowed to leave the state but may live in Cook County.
