Applause for ‘Annie’

To the Editor:

Last Friday night, my husband, Bob, and I attended the Stage Coach Players production of “Annie.” It was spectacular! As a native New Yorker, I enjoyed Broadway plays at an early age, always favoring musicals. We’ve seen many professional and amateur productions of “Annie.” The Stage Coach Players production was most definitely one of the best! We have so much talent in our wonderful community. Kudos to all the volunteers, we applaud you all.

Over the Harvest Moon

To the Editor:

The Valley West Hospital Auxiliary would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the businesses who contributed to our third annual Harvest Moon Dinner Dance on Nov. 2. We are very grateful to the continued support of local businesses and organizations. Their ongoing support will not be forgotten. Due to the generosity of our table sponsors, as well as those who donated items for our silent auction, the auxiliary raised more than $11,000. This money is designated for the auxiliary’s commitment toward the new patient wing and also will support our annual Healthcare Scholarship Program.

A special thank you to our Harvest Moon Sponsors who donated $1,000: Anesthesia Associates, Aurora Radiology Consultants, Doctors of Emergency Medicine of Illinois, and KishHealth System.

Blue Moon Sponsors who gave $500 were Castle Bank, National Bank & Trust, and KishHealth System Physician Group.

New Moon Sponsors who gave $250 or less: Aishling Obstetrics & Gynecology, Dr. and Mrs. Todd Barrowcliff, Karen Black, Chris Cain, Cynthia Capek, Dr. Chandran, Dr. Dharkar, Dr. David and Ellen Faulk, Heartland Bank & Trust, Idle Hour Lanes, Mike Larson, Dave and Lee McKenzie, Lou Jean Moyer, Robert and Mary Pritchard, Karen Rouse, Steve and Jane Wolf, Cindy Worsley and Bob Wright State Farm Agent.

We’d also like to thank the Valley West Hospital medical staff, whose donation helped cover the cost of the band, the Max Clark Trio.

Thank you to everyone who attended and we hope we can count on your support next year. To learn more about Valley West Auxiliary, call 815-786-3704.
