Crime Stoppers focuses on catalytic converters

Area police are seeking information about the person or people who have been stealing catalytic converters from vehicles parked at businesses along Sycamore Road in DeKalb and Sycamore.

DeKalb County Sheriff's police, DeKalb police and Sycamore police have taken about 15 reports for stolen catalytic converters in recent weeks, according to a news release. Anyone with information should contact DeKalb County Crime Stoppers at 815-895-3272 or email crimestoppers@dekalbcounty.org.

Crime Stoppers will pay a cash reward of up to $1,000 and reports can be made anonymously.
