Courtney Bemis, sr., OH, DeKalb

Bemis, who signed with Miami (Ohio), was an offensive force on the outside for DeKalb. The senior helped the Barbs to a conference championship as DeKalb recorded 30 wins on the year.

Olivia Cotton, sr., L, Genoa-Kingston

The best defensive player in the area, Cotton has been the main presence behind G-K’s turnaround over the last four years. The senior team captain recorded 492 digs and was a unanimous All-Big Northern Conference selection for the second time.

Ellie Dunn, jr., OH, Kaneland

Dunn was one of the most dangerous hitters in the area and committed to play at Ball State following her senior year. She helped guide a very young Kaneland team to an appearance in the regional finals and a postseason No. 1 seed.

Bridget Halat, jr., OH / S, Genoa-Kingston

Halat led the Cogs with 262 kills and had better than 40 percent hitting percentage. She also played setter along with Breea Rogalla in G-K’s 6-2 system and dished out 253 assists.

Madison Lord, sr., S, DeKalb

Lord, the Daily Chronicle Player of the Year, was the most consistent Barbs player over the season, recording 609 assists. She led the Barbs with 52 aces and was voted the Northern Illinois Big 12 East MVP.

Courtney Wagner, sr., MB, DeKalb

Wagner was an outspoken leader for DeKalb and led the team with 55 blocks. She also recorded 146 kills on the year, second behind Bemis.
