Shot fired during fight at DeKalb apartment complex

DeKALB – Police are investigating an incident in which a man shot at a vehicle during an argument in an apartment complex parking lot.

About 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, DeKalb police received a report that two groups of men were fighting in parking lot at James Court Apartments, which is in the 2600 block of First Street near Bethany Road, Lt. James McDougall said. During the altercation, a man fired a shot at a parked car with people inside.

"Both groups were gone when we arrived at the scene," McDougall said. "There are no known injuries at this time."

The investigation remains on-going.
