DeKalb Festival Chorus to perform fall concert

The DeKalb Festival Chorus will present its fall concert on at 7 p.m. Nov. 23 at First Lutheran Church, 324 N. Third St., DeKalb.

“This Shining Night” will take you on a journey from the darkness of the fading year to the promise of renewal. The concert will feature amazing music by Beethoven, Brahms, Copeland, Lauridsen and Gjielo. It will focus around Gjielo’s dynamic “Dark Night of the Soul,” which will be directed by Seth Houston, and piano accompaniment played by Abigail Mogge along with the Silhouette Strings. Assistant conductor is Keaton Connell.

Tickets are available at the door. Cost is $12 for adults, $8 for students and $25 for a family.
