Fox Valley Older Adult Services invites all area seniors and their families to an open house scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Fox Valley Community Center, 1406 Suydam Road in Sandwich.

The open house celebrates the partnership between KishHealth System and Fox Valley Older Adult Services and the opening of a new health care clinic. A catered breakfast and blood pressure screenings will be provided by KishHealth Physician Group with giveaways and information on different immunizations. From 5 to 7 p.m. the open house will continue with catered appetizers and beverages, activities and a blood pressure screening, and the Sandwich Area Chamber of Commerce will host an official ribbon-cutting at 5:30 p.m.

KishHealth Physician Group recently opened the new location at FVOAS. On a rotating basis, physicians from other KishHealth locations in Sandwich and Plano will see patients at FVOAS from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Thursday. The clinic at FVOAS is similar to other KPG locations, with a nurse on staff and a pleasant waiting area and clinical space.

“We are delighted with this partnership with KishHealth System and the opportunity to work together to better serve the needs of area seniors,” Cindy Worsley, executive director of Fox Valley Older Adult Services, said in a news release.
