Local briefs: Kaneland’s Parillo named to all-state soccer team

Kaneland’s Parillo named to all-state soccer team Kaneland senior Anthony Parillo was named to the Illinois High School Soccer Coaches Association All-State team.

Kaneland senior forward Arsim Azemi was an All-Sectional pick as was Hinckley-Big Rock senior defender Tom Sanders and Genoa-Kingston senior midfielder William Crozier. Kaneland’s Tyler Siebert was an All-Sectional Honorable Mention pick along with G-K’s Uriel Ortega.

G-K alum Parra named to All-NACC second team Genoa-Kingston graduate and current Aurora University soccer player Anthony Parra was named to the All-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference second team.

Parra, a senior forward, had four goals on the season, including one game-winner.
