Published: Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 5:30 a.m. CDT

The Egyptian Theatre, 135 N. Second St., DeKalb, will host a one-day Holiday Art Sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. It will feature 10 DeKalb-area artists.

This Holiday Art Sale has been a 20-year tradition that first supported the Jewish community with a percentage of sales. The sale has evolved from a rotation of locations, artists and premise, but the Egyptian Theatre has hosted this event most frequently. The artworks on exhibit are great gifts and a good investment for home or business.

Dale Osterle is the anchor for this group of fine artists, and has been an active local artist for the past 40 years. Recently many of her handpainted intaglios have been juried into national shows across the country and in regional shows as well.

The other fine artists, many who are recognized nationally and internationally, also being featured are: Dorothea Bilder, paintings and prints; Susan Edwards, watercolors; Melanie Diedrich, jewelry; Michelle Erickson-Goettl, ceramics and metals; Joyce Klein-Munch, color landscape photographs; Ellen Roth Deutsch, colored pencil on paper; Michelle Erickson-Goettl, ceramics and metals; Cliff Cleland, photography; and Cory McCrory, ceramics.
