IVT schedules auditions for Feb. dinner theater

Published: Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 5:30 a.m. CDT

Indian Valley Theatre and director Matt Johnson will hold auditions for the upcoming dinner theater production of “The Fox On the Fairway” by Ken Ludwig.

A tribute to the great English farces of the 1930s and 1940s, “The Fox On the Fairway” takes audiences on a hilarious romp which pulls the rug out from underneath the stuffy denizens of a private country club. Filled with mistaken identities, slamming doors and over-the-top romantic shenanigans, it’s a furiously paced comedy that recalls the Marx Brothers’ classics.

Auditions will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 17 and 7 to 9 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Sandwich Opera House, 140 E. Railroad St. in Sandwich, in the Community Room (side entrance).

Auditioners should be prepared to read cold from the script. No appointment is necessary.

Performances are scheduled for Feb. 20 through 23 at the Fox Valley Older Adults Center in Sandwich.
