Sycamore High School Theatre Department will present its fall musical, “Little Shop of Horrors,” at the Sycamore High School Auditorium this weekend.

Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets cost $6 and can be purchased online at www.syc427.org, by phone at 815-899-8160, ext. 2173, or by visiting the Sycamore High School Box Office.

“Little Shop of Horrors” is a comedy-horror rock musical by composer Alan Menken and writer Howard Ashman about a hapless florist shop worker who raises a plant that feeds on human blood and flesh. Most well-known for its 1986 film adaptation staring Rick Moranis and Steve Martin, “Little Shop of Horrors” provides a little laugh, a little horror, and some really good songs.

The cast includes Andrew McComb (Seymour), Jordan Peterson (Mushnik), Alex Riley (Orin), Thomas Phetmeuangmay (Audrey II), Merri Bork (Audrey), Victoria Smith, Kelsie Kruskol, Lindsey Yunker, Emani Brinkman, Jessica Luo, Annie Malecki, Lauren Brazeau, Marc Thompson, Dustin Fischer, Manuela Schreiber and Sarah Houdek.

The technical staff includes stage manager Jake Pisarski, assistant stage manager Jordyn Shultz, light board operator Bella Bliujus, sound board operator Awad Rana, sound effects operaotor Sarah Grant, costumer Cameron Smith, Paige Bjork, Isabella Johnson, Emily Friesen, Kayla Doyle, Rachel Reifsteik, Hunter Thomas, Matthew Riley, Emilee Mitchell and Corrin Neises.

The show is directed by Natalie Boone. Gary Mattin is the musical director; Garth Andersio is pit director; Kristin Hill is the choreographer; and David Olson and Ralph Helm are the technical directors.
