IVVC names October students of the month

Indian Valley Vocational Center of Sandwich, recently announced its October 2013 list of Students of the Month. 

This recognition program spotlights students from its 13 onsite programs, and cosmetology and fire science, selected by the program instructors for qualities such as outstanding professional work, enthusiasm, attendance, initiative and demonstrated work ethic. Each IVVC program can select a different student each month for special recognition and an award certificate. 

The October 2013 IVVC Students of the Month are:

Auto Body Repair – Clint Corrigan, Yorkville High School; Automotive Technology – Brendan Spartz, Sandwich High School; Computer Technology – David Gustafson, Sandwich High School; Construction Technology – Dallas Wheaton, Yorkville High School; Cosmetology – Hailey Maurcio, Yorkville High School; Culinary Arts – Mason Allen, Yorkville High School; Drafting & Design – Jared Vegrzyn, Sandwich High School; Early Childhood Development – Shayla Koehler, Indian Creek High School; Fire Science – Thomas Gavin, Hinckley-Big Rock High School; Graphic Communications – Taylor Landsteiner, Indian Creek High School; Health Occupations, CNA – Jilana Cech, Sandwich High School; Health Occupations, Exploring Medical Careers – Matthew Browder, Indian Creek High School; Sports Medicine/Management – Hannah Weatherly, Sandwich High School; and Welding & Fabrication – Coleton Rissman, Indian Creek High School.

IVVC is owned and operated by 11 school districts: Earlville District 9, Hinckley-Big Rock District 429, Indian Creek District 425, Leland District 1, Newark District 18, Paw Paw District 271, Plano District 88, Sandwich District 430, Serena District 2, Somonauk District 432 and Yorkville District 115.
