Decoration theft leaves void for family

To the Editor:

I just read the letter by Mr. Stojan from Sycamore who had his Halloween decorations stolen.

Upon awakening Monday morning, we found that our large inflatable skeleton head with the spinning eyes was also stolen. To the person or people who took this from our front yard: I hope that you are getting some enjoyment or financial benefit from taking this item.

I am sure that since you have no qualms about stealing, then it won’t bother you to know that this is our daughter’s favorite Halloween decoration. She is a beautiful special needs little girl who is stimulated by the skeleton head – it just makes her light up and respond!  Now I have to find a way to explain that someone took something from her and she won’t be able to see the decoration anymore.

By the way, thief ... smile, you just might be on hidden security camera!!!!
