The DeKalb-Sycamore co-op girls swimming team capped its second consecutive undefeated regular season with a 125-45 win over Harlem on senior night at home.

“On top of the senior recognition, our main goal was to go out big for the seniors,” co-op coach Leah Eames said.

The co-op won all eight individual events Wednesday. Seniors Kate Barresi (50-yard freestyle), Sam LeBlanc (100 free) and Jessie Howland (100 breaststroke) each won individual events. Alexa Miller won the 200 free, Jensen Keck was victorious in the 200 individual medley, Bailey Flemming was first in the 500 free, Kylie Olson was the winner of the 100 backstroke and Colette LeBlanc took first in the 100 butterfly.

The co-op (12-0) won all three relays as well. Erin DeWitt, Keck, Barresi and Flemming combined to win the 200 medley relay and Howland, Emily Cook, Miller and Flemming took first in the 200 free. Miller, Olson, Rachael West and Keck closed out the meet with a win in the 400 free relay.

“It was a great meet all around,” Eames said. “It was one of our big meets of the year, especially considering how well the seniors did.”

The co-op competes in the Metea Valley Invitational this weekend.
