DeKALB - A 61-year-old DeKalb man was flown to a Rockford hospital after his vehicle collided with a semi-tractor about 3 p.m. Monday.

The man, whose identity DeKalb police did not release Monday night because his family hadn't been notified, was driving east on Fairview Avenue when a semi-tractor tried to turn into the Nestle Distribution Center, DeKalb Police Sgt. Mark Tehan said. The crash happened west of Peace Road.

The 61-year-old DeKalb man was the only person in his vehicle, and the semi-tractor driver was not injured, Tehan said.
