Auction event supports senior programs

Family Service Agency Senior Services of DeKalb County will present its first pie auction fundraiser from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 21, at Hopkins Park in DeKalb.

The night of food, drinks and entertainment will be emceed by local radio host TD Ryan. The live auction, courtesy of Almburg Auctioneering Service, will feature pies donated by local celebrities and businesses. There also will be a silent auction and 50/50 raffle. Tickets cost $25 prior to the event and $30 at the door. 

All funds raised will go directly toward Family Service Agency Senior Services of DeKalb County, which works to keep seniors independent and in their homes. All of the programs offered are therapeutic and are designed to promote physical, mental and social fitness. Senior Services operates five senior centers throughout DeKalb County. All programs are at no charge to those served.
