Area Pumpkin Festival activities start Saturday

SYCAMORE – Two events Saturday will kick of Pumpkin Festival celebrations in Sycamore. American Family Insurance agent Dennis Jagodzinski will pass out free pumpkins to children at 10 a.m. at his office at 116 W. State St., Sycamore, according to a news release.

Later, local storyteller Phyllis Horst will sing and tell spooky stories at Ghost Stories in the Park at 6 p.m. at the Sports Complex, 435 S. Airport Road, Sycamore. The program is suitable for all ages. Snacks and hot chocolate will be available, but participants should bring something on which to sit.
