Published: Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 5:30 a.m. CDT

Planning is underway for the third year of Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of DeKalb’s Winter Farmers Market, which includes local artists and crafters. The market is seeking vendors for the events.

The first market will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 14. Other market dates this year are Feb. 1 and March 22.

“Last year we averaged 30 vendors and over 200 customers per market, we expect even larger markets this season,” market organizer Dan Kenney said in a news release.

In addition to a wide variety of items from local bakers, growers, crafters and artists; there is live music all day by local musicians, and fresh hot food. Also a big attraction is French pastries brought in by the Sisters of Fraternite Notre Dame to support their work with the homeless.

The Unitarian Universalist invites local growers, artists and crafters who would like to participate in this year’s market to contact event organizer Dan Kenney at 815-793-0950 or dkenney53@hotmail.com.
