Published: Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013 5:30 a.m. CDT

Northern Illinois junior tailback Cameron Stingily was arrested on campus Sunday afternoon and then was named Mid-American Conference West Division Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Stingily had an active arrest warrant for failure to appear in court for a traffic offense. On June 9, Stingily was charged with driving without a license.

Stingily was released after paying $225 bail, according to a police report.

The arrest came one day after Stingily rushed for a career-high 266 yards in a 38-24 win at Kent St.

Stingily’s total is the second-highest in the FBS this season, and the most by by an NIU back since Garrett Wolfe’s 353 yards at Ball State in 2006.
