Didja ever notice ...
When the phone rings during a play on television, the actor looks at the phone as though he can’t figure out where the sound is coming from? I never do that … I know it’s that annoying instrument on my desk. If you ask a woman what shade of lipstick she is wearing, she will lick her lips before replying?
When you compliment a woman on her apparel, she will tell you the history of the garment, its age and where she purchased it?When you’re waiting for an elevator that you have already called for, the next person will walk up and press the down or up button again, as if you’re an idiot and did not think to do that?
When someone asks you for the time, they will point at their wrist?How many people will smile back at you if you start it?
That if you are nice to people, they are usually nice back to you?
The placement of a punctuation mark can change the meaning of a sentence?School supplies and holiday items are displayed sooner in stores each year?
You can’t put toothpaste back into the tube, even though people say nothing is impossible?
Movie popcorn tastes better than microwave popcorn at home?
That we are such creatures of habit and most of us perform daily rituals the same way – as in putting on our right shoe or sock first before the left?
You can’t make a dog yawn, but if he does, you often do too?The leaves at the top of the trees are looking lighter green and dryer already?

When you order something from a catalog, the shipping and handling charges are about equal to what the merchandise used to cost?
How when you turn on the TV or radio, there’s a commercial on about 75 percent of the time? Makes you wonder how much actual programming there is these days. I tuned in too late the other day to catch the name of the medicine they were hawking. A disclaimer at the end of it said, “may cause, diarrhea, nausea or headache.” I’ll take my chances with whatever it was meant to cure.
