State police planning roadside safety check

DeKALB – Illinois State Police will host a roadside safety check from 11 p.m. Oct. 11 to 4 a.m. Oct. 12 in DeKalb County.

The check will be held on the westbound exit from Interstate 88 to Annie Glidden Road, according to a news release. Officers working this detail will watch for drivers who are driving unsafely, who have a suspended or revoked license, who are transporting open alcoholic beverages and who are driving drunk. The project is funded by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
